Fair questions

Why "bespokish"?

Because honest naming beats grand naming. Fully bespoke agency work costs tens of thousands of dollars; cookie-cutter site builders make you do all the work yourself. This is the useful middle: real custom work on your business, delivered at a flat monthly rate a small business can plan around. Custom enough.

What does it cost?

Website is $150 a month. Website + Apps, which adds custom apps and business automation, is $250 a month. Those two are published rates rather than starting positions: there is no quote step and no sales call, and the printed number is what you pay. A full custom platform with native iPhone and Android apps is the one exception, because no two are the same: it starts from $500 a month and is always scoped and quoted. There is a one-time setup fee equal to one month of your plan, so month one is 2x and every month after it is the plain rate. The initial term is six months, then it is month to month. Pay for a year up front and two months are free. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices: the rate only changes if you ask for a bigger plan.

What is included in the monthly rate?

Everything the website needs to exist and keep working: design and build, hosting, your domain, security and HTTPS, search and local SEO setup, ongoing content changes through the request queue, monitoring around the clock, and daily backups that are actually test-restored. If your plan includes apps or automation, building and running those is included too.

I already have a website. Can you take it over?

Yes. Migrating an existing site, domain, email records, and content is covered by the one-time setup fee in month one, not billed as a separate project on top. Sites stuck on old builders, expired agencies, or "my nephew made it in 2015" are exactly the starting point this service expects.

Who owns the website and the domain?

You do. Your domain, your content, your photos: all yours, in writing. Day to day we may run some services under our own tooling because it keeps your monthly rate low and changes fast, but ownership is documented, payment accounts are always created as yours from day one, and anything can be moved into accounts you control whenever you ask. We hold nothing hostage: if you ever leave, everything goes with you and we help you pack.

How do I ask for changes?

Send a request: email, text, or the client portal once your project is live. Requests are worked one at a time, and you can see the status of each. Small content changes usually land within a couple of business days. There is no per-change invoice.

Do you use AI to build things?

Yes, openly. AI handles a lot of the production work under close human direction, and that is exactly why real custom work can cost a flat small-business rate instead of agency rates. Every site is reviewed, tested, and monitored by a person: me.

Why not just use an AI website builder myself?

You could, and for some businesses that is the right call. But AI tools are just that: tools. The best work a tool produces is only as good as the person operating it, and right now the best work being made anywhere is human plus AI, not AI alone. That is the arrangement here: AI does the production work, and I bring 20+ years in development, web, and apps to directing it, judging it, and throwing away its bad ideas. You get the speed of AI with the judgment of a person who answers to you.

Does my site get better over time?

Yes, and not only from your own requests. Every bespokish site is part of a small fleet that improves together: when a new web convention arrives or a feature proves itself on one site, every client can adopt it, with your permission, usually as part of the monthly rate rather than a new project. You are not buying a one-off build that starts aging the day it launches; you are buying a seat on something that keeps moving.

What if my business needs something unusual?

That is the fun part. Online ordering, booking systems, customer portals, automated reminders, back-office paperwork: if a repetitive task eats your week, it is probably automatable. Most of it fits inside the Website + Apps plan; anything bigger, like a full platform with its own iPhone and Android apps, is scoped honestly and quoted from $500 a month rather than squeezed into a template.

What is the honest small print?

The trade-off is at the very top end of design. The best, most original design work comes from dedicated designers, and that tier is not what this studio produces. If you have a designer whose work you love, I will happily build to their designs; that integration is easy. But for most small businesses, a fully bespoke design is not just prohibitively expensive, it is unnecessary: you get 99% of the benefit of a great web presence without it. That is the '-ish' in bespokish, stated plainly.

What happens if I cancel?

The first six months are a commitment, because that is roughly how long the build pays for itself. After that you are month to month: cancel any time, with no exit fee and no penalty. Your site does not vanish either way. You keep your domain and content, we hand over everything cleanly, and if you are moving to another provider we make the transfer boring instead of dramatic. Past the initial term we would rather earn the next month than lock you in.

What areas do you serve?

Home base is West Covina, serving the whole San Gabriel Valley: Covina, Baldwin Park, La Puente, Walnut, Glendora, Azusa, San Dimas, El Monte, Diamond Bar, and neighbours. Remote works fine too; most of the service is delivered over the internet either way.
